Sandra Kviat was born and bred in Copenhagen, and has spent the past ten years in England. She is the rabbi of Crouch End Chavurah, a vibrant liberal congregation in north London, and is also a member of Liberal Judaism’s Outreach Team, specialising in education. Sandra is Scandinavia’s first female Rabbi and the first progressive Danish rabbi.
Sandra lives a down to earth progressive Jewish family life, and is committed to social justice for everyone. Is most likely to be found teaching and discussing Judaism, or enjoying the outdoors.

The events of the past months have touched us in ways we couldn’t imagine. How are we to respond as individuals and as Jews to the perceived and real fear that now pervades our lives? Can the conflict between Jacob and Esau help us frame modern Jewish responses to fear, anger and retribution? This session is a chance to talk openly and to explore how our ancestors dealt with times like these.Language: English
